A couple other quick notes; I responded to your comment quickly this morning and (I can see this is becoming a theme for me, and one I need to fix) that first line was supposed to be more of a friendly joke.

On that note, after writing the response I went and read a few of your articles; it sounds like we agree on quite a bit regarding some of the fundamental problems with political discourse. I'm not sure where you stand on mending polarization but I've enjoyed reading several of your pieces. I also read your recent commentary on how Medium's system works -- I've seen that as well, and am planning to shift my main focus as a writer elsewhere because I realized that, given the structure of this platform, it's better to start extricating myself from it.

Good times while I was here, tho. I've had a chance to learn a lot, which, I have to remind myself, is why I came here in the first place. But now that I've learned it I think it's time to grow past Medium.
