Thanks for this. I enjoyed writing this one a lot, too. It was a small impulse piece. I've found that the impromptu ones tend to be shorter. For some reason when I write my more deliberate pieces they wind up hitting the 12 minute mark almost uniformly.

As far as how much play this one has gotten, I've found that tends to be related to the publication it's in. If I publish something in Lessons from History it tends to do fairly well (a couple hundred views and $5 to $10 over the course of a few months). Most of the other publications don't get much play at all. I'm sure, too, that the success level with different publications varies from author to author.
