Here's a fun thought, also in line with the normal distribution. The more restrictive your definition of "normal," the more rare it is for people meet it.
Hardcore norm-heads who filter according to a brutal standard of "normal enough" are, in reality, creating a very elite and abnormal group.
For that reason I have never trusted people who are too quick to cleave to what is "normal." It's clear to me that they are often just abusing the language of normalcy to form their own personalized elite to make them feel comfortable.
I guess there are two ways you can use the word. One is in a liberating sense, the other is in an isolating sense. The second way makes no sense at all.
