This is horrifying. I just created a Twitter account as part of a bid to slowly grow my Medium platfom (per the advice of several authors on Medium) and now I'm afraid to actually use it. I'm sorry that you have had to go through this not just once, but on several separate occasions.

But also, I wanted to let you know that I admire you for writing this piece; it seems like what has happened in the last few years is that a small number of people like yourself who have been attacked by Twitter mobs have begun to carefully describe the experience and contextualize it, and speak out against it with force and eloquence, backed by their own character. More of these voices have popped up; people are starting to name the dragon and compare notes on its labyrinth.

I think that someday in the near future Twitter will face a reckoning--perhaps not the company, but the culture it created. That may be empty hope on my part, but if it's not, it will be because of writing like yours.
