I have gotten a variety of reactions to this piece, but you are the only one who decided to go full Norse Gods with it. Major points to you for that.

There's a simple principle here; things are what they are, and if you want them, you have to reach for them directly.

Empire building is empire building. If you want the experience of being on top of an empire you built, get to building. It doesn't happen any other way.

And warmth, friendship, and companionship are their own thing. You don't get them any other way besides cultivating them directly. Or, maybe you do, if you're lucky. But our goal, as always, is to transcend luck, and look for more permanent things.
