Thank you for this; I hadn't realized that Medium's policies explicitly mentioned follow-for-follow behavior. I'm glad that my intuition puts me on the right side of their policy, although to be honest I'm not too fond of Medium corporate right now. They took away the high quality photos, which irritates the hell out of me; it was one of the best parts of their platform.

I don't know much about using Twitter but based on your advice here I think it's a good idea; I'll start up an account sometime soon. Thanks for the advice about the #Medium tag; it's not something I would have thought of.
