This perfectly captures my experience talking with many of the far right wing members of my family. It's hard to argue with them when I agree with ninety percent of what they're saying about the abuses of power happening, and my main disagreement is with the strange villains and motives and scenarios they concoct to explain why those abuses happen and what will be done with them.

My default now is to just listen. I usually wind up learning something -- though usually it's just something about them.
